The Systems Administrator provides network and system technical expertise and:
• is responsible for ensuring that the performance of the current infrastructure is maintained;
• troubleshoots with vendors, systems and development teams;
• takes part (or leads) projects of various sizes.
Part of your responsibilities will be the following:
• Responsible for on-going technical support to existing systems through up-dates and application of patches to the network/server infrastructure and operating systems, for the quality testing and system security measures;
• Responsible for the successful integration of new infrastructure, such as server, UCS, routers, switches, NAS storage arrays, etc., through the formulation and structuring of the critical technology elements, installation, configuration and deployment;
• Responsible for the implementation and integration of any and all changes and/or upgrades to infrastructure and operating systems;
• Provides troubleshooting expertise against any system and/or network operating issues and ensures, at the same time, that any and all security threats are appropriately mitigates;
• Provides expertise and support to the administration of Linux/Unix operating systems and to the software support packages, such as, Apache, MySQL, VMware, Puppet and Sendmail.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
Required skills:
• At least 3+ years of hands on experience in a Linux/Unix Systems Administration role and environment.
• Experience with puppet and automated server installation;
• Excellent shell scripting experience;
• Experience with VMWare, UCS and Netapp;
• Strong troubleshooting skills and capacity planning expertise and experience in provisioning, installation, configuration, tuning, security hardening and monitoring, backup and recovery;
• Good knowledge of SAN / NAS technology;
• Hold and maintain a proficiency in industry best practices;
• Strong verbal and written communication skills – able to document and share design and specifications with team members and partners;
• Excellent English skills.

General information about this position:
As Systems Administrator (level I) you will have the opportunity to administer a wide variety of Internet technologies. This position will be responsible for ensuring the environment’s reliability, availability, scalability, and performance using a variety of monitoring and command-line tools. In this role you will be responsible for both customer-facing and internal assets.
This position is expected to have a solid understanding of computer science and networking fundamentals and conscientious work habits.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Review and resolve escalated customer support tickets. Provide training, documentation and guides to improve the ability to serve the customer;
• Participate in large collaborative projects, including migration between datacenters, major software upgrades or replacement and other projects as assigned;
• Take ownership of systems and network issues (as part of a team) and work with all relevant parties to determine a strategic approach to resolution;
• Take ownership for hardware lifecycle. Including, at least, the provisioning, maintenance, hardware troubleshooting and eventual replacement of servers;
• Directly responsible for all in-office IT requirements: connectivity, desktops/laptops, servers (DNS, DHCP, File, and Phone servers), and phones;
• Participate in on-call rotation.
Required skills:
• Very good computer skills;
• Experience with Windows and Linux Networks;
• Excellent customer service skills;
• Experience with bug-tracking software will be considered an advantage;
• Industry certifications is a plus;
• Very good analytical and problem-solving skills;
• Ability to learn new technologies;
• Excellent communication and soft skills;
• Fluency in English;
• Ability to work on rotating shifts (24/7) – weekends and public holidays availability may be required.
